The Sharp FPF50UW Plasmacluster Ion Air Purifier with True HEPA Filtration is ideal for small rooms in your home. This air purifier model effectively reduces pollen, dust, pet dander, smoke, germs, bacteria, viruses, odors, mold, and fungus in your living space. There is a dual stage filter system including an activated carbon filter and long-life True HEPA filter, which captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns from the air that passes through it.

The Sharp FPF50UW air purifier disperses positively and negatively charged ions throughout the room, safely breaking down microorganisms and odors trapped in fabric, carpeting, and drapery. An ideal solution for pet owners, allergy sufferers, asthmatics, and smokers, this air purifier works best in smaller sized bedrooms, living rooms, studies, and exercise rooms. Sharp's Plasmacluster Ion Technology Air Purifier is not only ARB Certified. It also produces 5X less ozone (at less than .001 ppm) than the lowest industry and federal standards set by the FDA, OSHA, and NIOSH.

Plasmacluster Ion Technology has proven effective in reducing certain viruses, including MS2 (Influenza viral stimulant), bacteria, including E-Coli Staphylococcus epidermidis and Serratia, molds, and funguses, including Aspergillus Niger, and certain odors that conventional filters don't reach, like odors in upholstery and drapery. 17 laboratories have tested Plasmacluster Ion Technology in the USA, UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea, China, and Vietnam.

The triple filtration system cleans the air that passes through the filter in three ways. The washable, microscreen pre-filter traps dust and other large airborne particles.
